The extraordinary performer of Ladino music, Yasmin Levy, will meet with the audience again on the Turkcell Stage on the evening of June 8, with the organization of Zorlu PSM and Piu Entertainment.
Yasmin Levy, who learned to play the piano at the age of 6 and made her debut at the age of 21, made her first appearance in the international arena at WOMEX 2002. His debut album, Romance&Yasmin, was a tribute to his father, Yitzhak Levy, a Sephardic man from Manisa who devoted his life to preserving Sephardic music.
Blending music from different geographies of the world, from Latin and Sephardic music to Spanish flamenco, Argentine tango to Portuguese fado, Yasmin Levy takes her listeners on a different musical journey with Turkish melodies. Combining the rich tones of Turkish string instruments with the passionate sound of the flamenco guitar, Yasmin Levy creates her unique style by blending western instruments such as cello and piano with eastern rhythms.
Yasmin Levy, who has worked with many names such as Buika, Ömer Faruk Tekbilek, Enrico Macias, Yiannis Kotsiras, Eleni Vitaly, Natacha Atlas, Montse Kortes, Kubat and Ibrahim Tatlıses, expresses that she is "proud to achieve musical reconciliation" by blending different musical cultures.
